“If you want to change the world, pick up your pen and write.” That quote by Martin Luther may be several hundred years old, but I think it’s still relevant today. And while the pen may have been replaced by a computer keyboard, our words still have the power to build up or break down. While most of us will probably not affect history the way that Martin Luther did, I do believe that God has given each of us the ability to be a force for good in this world. Some individuals may make great contributions toward creating a better world. Most of us, though, are more likely to make tiny ripples of positive change in our little corner of the world. I kind of look at myself as a little fish in a big ocean, but I hope the ripples I make will bring a small ray of sunshine to a person’s day. Bad news never seems to be in short supply and can wear one down. Sometimes it’s hard to focus on anything other than the bad, especially when the day is full of tragic headlines and overwhelming responsibilities. I created this site to provide a small helping of inspiration for the day. God’s miracles and His good news are all around us if we can just focus on finding the good. I appreciate feel good stories and happy endings, and this blog will have more than its’ fair share of those. If I’ve done my job right, you’ll leave here a little less burdened than when you arrived. I love God and animals and the great outdoors, so there will be plenty of posts about the wonders of God’s natural kingdom. Pretty much anything goes, as long as it reflects on all the blessings that we as children of God receive every day. I hope your visit here will remind you just how precious you are in the eyes of our heavenly Father. I like to think that a little bit of God’s hope goes a long way in making a better day!
